Una consapevolezza che si esprime in domanda

“Prendi la mia mano… volerai come l’aquila…”: questa canzone degli U2 si sipira, come altre, al libro dei salmi:

“Egli perdona tutte le tue colpe,

guarisce tutte le tue malattie;

salva dalla fossa la tua vita,

ti corona di grazia e di misericordia;

egli sazia di beni i tuoi giorni

e tu rinnovi come aquila la tua giovinezza” (Salmo 102-103).

Cristo conferisce all’uomo, al singolo uomo, un valore infinito. Egli è venuto per la felicità del singolo. E questo perché il singolo uomo è in un rapporto diretto, permanente con il Mistero che lo genera, cioè con Dio. E’ questa la radice della concezione che Cristo ha dell’uomo: un essere considerato secondo la sua vera statura.
