La scoperta di un uomo senza paragone

L’eccezionalità della persona di Cristo emerge non solo nei miracoli e nella sua capacità dialettica, ma soprattutto nella profondità del suo sguardo. Egli riesce a cogliere ciò che di più profondo, vero, nascosto, spesso confuso, vive nel singolo uomo. Il suo sguardo chiarisce l’uomo a se stesso, rivela ciò che l’uomo è, fino in fondo.

L’episodio della Samaritana lo evidenzia in modo chiarissimo.

Jesus met the woman at the well,

and He told her every thing

she’d ever done, she’d ever done!

Gesù incontrò la donna al pozzo e le disse tutto ciò che aveva fatto.

He said “woman”. He said “woman, tell me where’s your husband,(2x)

and I know every thing you’ve ever done, you’ve ever done”.

Egli disse: “Donna, dimmi dov’è tuo marito, io conosco tutto ciò che hai fatto”.

She said “Jesus”, she said “Jesus, I have no, no husband (2x)

and You don’t know every thing I’ve ever done”.

Lei disse: “Gesù, io non ho marito, tu non sai tutto ciò che io ho fatto”.

He said “woman”, He said “woman, you have got five husbands (2x)

and the one you got now is not your own, is not your own”.

Egli disse: “Donna, tu hai avuto cinque mariti e quello che hai ora non è tuo marito”.

She said “This man, oh this man, must be the prophet, (2x)

for He told me every thing I’ve ever done, I’ve ever done”.

Lei disse: “Quest’uomo deve essere il Profeta, perchè mi ha detto tutto ciò che ho fatto”.
